"For hundreds of years, the Church has had a particular devotion: the 40 hours, that is 40 hours of prayers in front of the Blessed Sacrament as an act of reparation for public sins. Two formats have been popular: one, codified by the Liturgical books, has the 40 hours done in different parishes along the year to make if possible, a continuous prayer of reparation in a diocese or region; the other focuses the devotion to the 3 days before Lent, to do a more special reparation for the sins committed during Carnival. We will try this year to introduce this act of reparation across our chapels. We cannot have at this stage the full 40 hours devotion, due to lack of priests and the distance for many of us to come to church, but let's nevertheless make an effort to come to church and also do a Holy Hour at home during that time. Please see the schedule of the month and the sign-up sheets for the particular times in your church."
Tuesday March 5th, from 12 pm to 6 pm, followed by the Mass.
